A Madison police officer shot and killed a man on the city’s near south side Wednesday night.
The man fit the description of a armed robbery perpetrator at Cousins Subs, 1124 S. Park St., near St. Mary’s Hospital.
MPD spokesperson Joel Despain said the man was being interviewed by the officer, a struggle ensued, and the officer had to use “deadly force.”
