i took it as a reflection that attacks did occur on the election day..so even though iraquis voted, they still have to worry about being killed.

Yeah, where are the assholes that were willing to be human shields for Saddam? If they realy cared about the Iraqi people they would be standing between them and the murdering thugs who tried to keep them from voting.
Even some cynics were impressed, but not Skye it appears.
