Readers cry foul

In response to “Pack Attack” by the Editorial Board:

Wah wah wah… I bet none of you live in this neighborhood and have to deal with these people and the messes they leave everywhere on a daily basis. And think about it logically, Kelley’s isn’t losing money by stopping the sale of that cheap shit, if anything they’ll make more money when the bums migrate and normal people come back to the store. It isn’t unfair or misguided, it’s a step in the right direction in cleaning up downtown.

In response to “China deserves to act in its best interests” by Wasim Salman:

Wow. I thought that you’d make the argument that all citizens should expect more from their own countries as well as from China. Instead, you say we should ignore it all. Nice job.

In response to “Right to bear arms ensures defense of mutual liberty” by Bassey Etim:

Who are you planning to shoot, Bassey? Those tyrannical Liberals, or the government who is wasting your hard-earned tax money on atheists and welfare moms? WHO ARE YOU GOING TO SHOOT?

In response to “Don’t ‘conceal’ gun control” by Jack Craver:

You’re a history major and you think that the will of the majority trumps Constitutional rights? I think you need to go hit those books a little harder, especially the ones that explain the concept of a “right”.

In response to “McCain relies on old fiscal failures” by Andy Granias:

What you neglect to point out, andy, is that these tax cuts don’t just represent a $X Trillion loss to the government, but also $X Trillion that consumers get to keep and spend as they so desire. In a time of economic downturn, it’s quite the blessing. Unfortunately for America, recessions aren’t the best of times to try to fix the budget deficit. McCain’s tax cuts represent that reality, as, many argue, did Reagan’s.

Who is Bassey going to shoot? It seems like he needs his gun for something, and guns are great tools for killing. Much like hammers are great for driving nails.
