Here’s an excellent article by University of Virginia biologist Paul Gross on the intelligent design (ID) movement, and the threat it presents to the way science is normally taught in classrooms. I tried to be as even-handed as I could in my column, but as critic Roger Kimball (quoted by Gross) points out, “Patient objections to the ludicrous become ludicrous themselves.”
