Lest we forget...
Even though CBS and Rather have admitted they were mistaken on the TANG memos, there's still plenty of evidence that Bush was AWOL, as this Air Force Times article explains.Comments on Lest we forget...
Ken:
Your link says "Air Force Times article" but goes to a Washingtonpost.com article?
"Mistaken"? CBS used obviously bogus documents that they got from a left hand wing-nut. They didn't do the most minimal backround checks on this last-minute "evidence" found in their years-long quest for mud to sling. Bush was never AWOL, but if you repeat the lie enough maybe you can make yourself feel better. Maybe you could even find a thirty year old typewriter and "reconstruct" the "evidence".
Here's a link to try:

Read it all but here's the tagline:
"Which is why, in order to reflect discredit on the President's military service, it is necessary to forge documents."

Ken:
The term AWOL (absent without leave) has a specific meaning and Bush was not AWOL. The acronym does not appear in the Air Force Times article. I can't even find any of the three words "absent", "without" or "leave" anywhere in the article.
RE: Barnes (BIG Kerry fund raiser) info in the article
Barnes, who once claimed he did not help Bush enter the National Guard, reversed his story and told CBS News 60 Minutes that he in fact did help Bush.
Mr. Barnes daughter, Amy Barnes called the Mark Davis Show and spoke with guest host Monica Crowley on WBAP September 9th dismissing Barnes' claims as political and opportunistic
